Big Heart Songwriting Camp June 2021

Hello Singers and Songwriters!

The story behind Big Heart Songwriting Camp is simple: Be a Rhino. “Have a big heart and a

thick skin” -Brandon Lake. The ability to share ideas as a songwriter requires a thick skin. It

takes a big heart to acknowledge and hear every writer in the room and foster a positive space

where a new song can be created. This is the purpose that drives BHSC.

I am happy to announce this invite-only online songwriting camp for all singers/songwriters

new to writing, intermediate and advanced! There is something useful to learn from

every writer. And during our online camp you can expect to make new friendships and

connections with other singers/songwriters and leave feeling inspired to keep writing!

I have prepared a great day camp that will not only help you grow as a co-writer, but also learn

how to communicate in a creative group setting and collaborate with peers. This camp will

consist of two masterclasses, two songwriting sessions, and two song shares. There will be a total of (two) 1 hour breaks in between writing sessions so that you have a chance to have lunch, relax and recharge for some more creativity and fun!

Masterclasses: Learn from the best (30 minutes)

Special guests will share their personal inspirational story and useful tips on how they write songs! There will also be a chance to ask questions and get answers from the pros!

The Songwriting Session: Creating together (1 hour)

We will break up into groups of 3-5 songwriters after each Masterclass. I will be helping all writing rooms with kids and teens.

Song Shares: Share what you’ve written (30 minutes)

Each group chooses one of their writers to sing the song their group has written. This is the

chance to have your song heard and to receive feedback on what made it awesome and how

you can make it even better. This is a safe environment to share your musical ideas and grow!

This is a chance to listen and be inspired!
